What if you could eliminate flies, stains, and odors from your mausoleum once and for all?
Contain the unpleasant effects of entombment burials by employing a system that understands biology and decomposition (an unavoidable, but manageable process).
BioShield™ won't temporarily cover up these symptoms. It's the only permanent containment system designed by packaging engineers for cemetery owners, and funeral or mausoleum directors, who want to take control of the entombment experience for their clients and their employees.
Bioshield is scientifically engineered to permanently protect mausoleums from leaks, odors, and flies by isolating the natural byproducts of decomposition in an uncomplicated, airtight container.
Create a problem-free final resting place and manage the imminent decay of remains with BioShield, the decomposition containment system designed and manufactured by expert packaging engineers at Heritage Packaging.
It’s the only permanent solution to the common challenges of mausoleum entombments: leaks, odors, and flies. Made with patented Zipseal Technology™ and flexible barrier materials, BioShield offers an entombment process that is faster, easier, and safer than any other product on the market.

How it Works
BioShield™ Cover Systems are engineered to permanently protect mausoleums from leaks, odors, and flies by isolating the natural byproducts of decomposition in an uncomplicated, airtight container.
Our cover system is simple, safe, and easy to use, and is made from the finest materials packaging science has to offer.
Our formula for the problem-free final resting place is made up of 3 components:
Barrier materials, hermetic seals, and a Zipseal closure.
Hermetic Seals
A hermetic seal is one that bonds two polymers (or two pieces of material) together through the application of heat, for a specific amount of time and at a specific pressure.
This type of seal protects against the flow of gasses and liquids, making it the perfect way to seal our Biolam material when making a BioShield container.
Barrier Material
BioShield containers are a flexible barrier material called Biolam II. It is a laminated material made up of four layers:
Outer Protective Layer
Cross Laminated Tear & Puncture Resistant Layer
Foil Barrier Layer
Coextruded Inner Sealant Layer
Together these layers provide superior heat-seal characteristics. Sealed together, they completely eliminate the possibility of leaking odors and liquids, forming a hermetic seal.
Patented Zipseal Closure
ZipSeal is our patented zipper closure system that provides a fast, safe, easy, and strong closure method.
Zipper tracks are pre-installed on the top and bottom covers. A positive locking, mechanical closure seals the zip ends, creating an air-tight entombment.

Training Video
BioShield™ by Heritage Packaging is unique in part because of it's zipper closure. It's simple and quick to use, and can be fully closed in about a minute. Current customers can click below to access our instructional video.
Quality Matters
This is true of every project, but quality control is critical when it comes to protecting a mausoleum environment from the effects of decomposition. We’ve dedicated significant resources to ensuring our products are the best on the market, and this video gives some insight into what our quality procedures look like.
Our quality control program and GMP’s ensure hermetic seals on custom configurations that protect cultural heritage items from damage and assure that the contents are safely preserved while enclosed.
